Today, 1 out of every 4 homeowners in America is behind on mortgage payments. At a recent Bank of America seminar held for real estate agents, predictions were that 2012 would be even higher in number of short sales on the market.
More evidence that you are not alone: In February 2012 there were 1125 homes sole in Hillsborough County. Of that total, 539 of those homes were distressed sales. That is 48%. Nearly one of every two homes sold was either a short sale or a foreclosure. Those that chose short sale over foreclosure are on their way to credit and housing recovery.
